A few days ago it was revealed that Dannii Minogue will NOT be returning for the next series of The X Factor in the UK. Sad faces!

The excuse. Scheduling conflicts…!!

Despite not being involved in the upcoming series, Minogue has said that she will still be watching it – wherever she is in the world.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper she said:

“The X Factor is brilliant and I’ve been the biggest fan since the first series. This year I will be watching the show from wherever I am. Can I still dress up at home?”

Since announcing that she is leaving, Dannii has received tons of messages showing her love and support. She has insisted that she is not ‘upset or livid’ about the situation.

Dannii has supposedly been replaced by 22 year old Tulisa Contostavlos from N-Dubz. Do people really want to see her every Saturday and Sunday evening?!

It has also been reported that Gary Barlow is replacing Simon Cowell, whilst Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland is rumored to be replacing Cheryl Cole. Louis Walsh is said to be the only remaining judge on the panel.

At an X Factor press conference this afternoon, where all of the judges and remaining contestants appeared, the final duets were confirmed – after speculation all week!

Sounds like it is going to be a fantastic X Factor weekend!!

I predict that Matt Cardle will win… BUT I would love it if Cher Lloyd took the crown – simply because I think her style of music is ‘right up my street’ (as Cheryl Cole would say).

It was also confirmed that each finalist would have their own ‘winning song’ unlike previous years where they all recorded the same song.

One of the best performers of the weekend, Paije Richardson was voted off The X Factor last night.

Paije was joined by Cher Lloyd in the bottom two last night. The pair sang for survival, with Paije singing a cover of Jamelia’s ‘Stop’, and Cher singing Shakespeare Sister’s ‘Stay’… again.

Neither of them deserved to be in the bottom two. It was Louis that got the deciding vote. Sadly, it was Dannii Minogue’s act that was sent home yet again.

Instead of taking it to ‘deadlock’ which he should have, he voted to send Paije home.

Surprisingly, Katie Weasel Waissel was not in the bottom 2 (for a change). She must have been over the moon. Maybe it was her new short, brunette hair style?

I still want her out of the competition, but let’s face it… She’s not ever going to win it, so it isn’t bothering me as much.

Sadly, Aiden Grimshaw became the latest X Factor contestant to be eliminated from the show.

God damn Katie Waissel got through yet again, despite this being her 4th time in the bottom 2. Even though the final vote went to the public, Aiden should NOT have left the competition!

Upon hearing the news, it was obvious that Aiden was devastated – and I think most people would agree, we all just wanted to give him a massive hug.
He said: “You win some you lose some…” and added that he was going to drink a beer.

He also mentioned that a friend text him before the show warned him about a leak on Twitter of the bottom 3 so he was expecting it..

Poor Aiden.

I hope that Katie realises that she’d probably gonna get attacked by some people when she finally does get the boot. Not likeable ONE BIT!!!

Tonight’s X Factor results show was a complete and utter f*cking joke!

Katie Weasel Waissel and Treyc Cohen were both in the bottom two… and sadly, Treyc went home.

I’m so angry for a number of reasons…

1) Katie has been in the bottom 2 for the third time – It was only Treyc’s second time.
2) Katie actually hung up her gloves in her ‘save me’ performance and said “sod it” then sat on the floor – whilst Treyc sung her little heart out.
3) Cheryl didn’t do her job. You are paid to be a judge – so JUDGE!! Don’t be so bitter because two of your acts were in the bottom 2.

Katie is a complete joke and her whole persona really really annoys me. You are not unique. You are not quirky. You are a dick! Your tears can only save you for so long…

I hope to God she goes next week now. If not, then we know it’s a FIX.

I don’t really care about Wagner as he is *slightly* entertaining and obviously will not win… BUT Katie Weasel Waissel is one of the favourites to get eliminated on this weeks X Factor.

1 week too late, but better late then never as they always say?

She spews so much bullsh*t its unreal. Apparently her dress sense was forced upon her by producers. Yeah RIGHT!

Go home and make another internet reality series.

Oh, and despite losing one of her acts this weekend… Bookies ‘Paddy Power’ have tipped Dannii Minogue to be the winning judge this series. She is currently mentoring Aiden, Paije and Matt since Nicolo was voted out. Wooo! Cheryl Cole is going to be annoyed haha!

I’m sure I don’t have to remind people what went down this weekend on X Factor.

On Saturday, the longest episode EVER (or so it felt) was on, and had 14 performances from 14 contestants.

Mary rocked it. Aiden rocked it. One Direction almost rocked it. Cher almost rocked it. And Katie looked like a tit.

On Sunday, Usher and Joe McElderry both performed. Unfortunately Usher mimed through most of his performance… But I’ll let it slide since his entrance and dance moves were pretty cool.

Joe McElderry on the other hand was just amazing in all ways and performed his first single since winning last years show, Ambitions. He looked as though he’d been doing it for years! Such little popstar!

Sunday also saw a double elimination… FYD, Katie and Nicolo were in the bottom 3.

I’m actually shocked to even say this, but Nicolo was first out with the fewest votes. I seriously thought he’d be in for a lot longer. I really feel sorry for him. FYD were the second act to be eliminated.

In my opinion, Katie and FYD should have gone home. Nicolo deserved to stay! What do you think?

X Factor’s Nicolo Festa and Aiden Grimshaw have posted some pictures of themselves on Twitter having some fun before the live shows begin tomorrow night!

It’s good to see that they have found some time to hang out and not just rehearse ALL of the time!

Nicolo confirmed that a Twitter account set up under Aiden’s name was in fact a fake, but later welcomed Aiden’s real account to the social networking site.

Do you think Nicolo and Aiden are safe for the first few live shows? I think they will be fine. They are on Team Dannii after all!

Wow, who else thought the X Factor was absolutely amazing tonight? Just the right amount of tension… Well done producers!

5 things that basically happened on tonights’ show:
- The ‘Over 25s’ category got renamed to the ‘Over 28s’ – meaning the the age limit went up in the boys/girls category
- Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zain Malik didn’t get through as solo artists. They got through as a group; 1 Direction.
- Likewise, Rebecca Creighton, Esther Campbell, Geneva Lane, Sophia Wardman didn’t get through as solo artists. They got through as a group; Belle Amie.
- Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole returned!
- The judges categories were announced. Cheryl has the girls, Dannii has the boys, Louis has the over 28s, and Simon has the groups.

Over the weekend, you may have noticed that Dannii Minogue has been promoting her new autobiography (out very soon). She revealed that there is a section in the book in which she describes how she was bullied by the infamous scarecrow, Sharon Osbourne whilst they both judged on The X Factor.

Usually, I am quite fond of Sharon – but I can totally see why Dannii has finally come out and revealed the truth about her once and for all.

Sharon’s daughter, Kelly decided to go on a massive Twitter rampage slagging Dannii off to the high heavens. Sounds like she is trying to fight her Mum’s back… But if it isn’t true, then why try to deny it?

This is Sharon’s battle, not yours Kelly!
