Madonna, along with Nicki Minaj, M.I.A, Cee Lo Green and LMFAO, performed at yesterday’s Superbowl Halftime show.

The production of the actual performance was pretty epic – but I was a little disappointed that the ‘Queen of Pop’ decided to mime through most of the performance… Especially her new single.

However, that does not detract from the fact that this was an extremely entertaining performance!

Well done Madonna!!

Rihanna performed at the Manchester MEN Arena last night (9th October 2011)… Let me tell you, she rocked it!!

When she performed her first song, the music was a little over powering and it was rather hard to hear her… However, music levels were adjusted shortly afterwards and you could really hear her singing.

Now, Rihanna doesn’t have the best voice in the world – and most people know that. BUT, she performs live and puts on a great show. That’s all that really matters to me.

You can really tell that she loves her fans too.

If you haven’t got tickets for her ‘Loud’ tour already, then I advise that you go out and buy some. You’ll have a great night!!

Pop acts were out in full force at last night’s Key 103 Live show at Manchester’s MEN Arena.

Acts included Scouting For Girls, The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Cher Lloyd, Olly Murs, Tinchy Stryder, Jay Sean, Example and Joshua Radin (who….?).

The first half of the show was pretty bleak up until the wonderful Cher Lloyd livened things up with her song ‘Swagger Jagger’.

The second half however was filled with some great talent. Pixie Lott sounded amazing and she also looked great with her new hair-do. The crowd obviously went wild for The Wanted, Olly Murs and JLS but that was pretty much expected!

One artist that I didn’t think I’d like but absolutely loved was Example. His set list was brilliant and he certainly had the best lighting out of all acts!

Not only did Rihanna and Britney Spears make a huge impression on everybody at the Billboard Awards last night – but Beyonce blew EVERYONE out of the water with her epic performance of ‘Run The World (Girls)’.

Girl brought it with the technology and didn’t get one step wrong!

Wow! Britney Spears joined Rihanna on stage to open up the Billboard Awards last night.

Even though duet was given away before the two were on stage, the audience seemed surprised and went wild when Britney appeared!

Such a great way to start back performing on the awards shows like before. Maybe she could do something at VMA’s?

Both ladies looked amazing. Britney was clearly miming, but I’ve come to expect that from her now so I’m never really disappointed.

Back in December I attended the Key 103 Jingle Ball 2010 which was pretty amazing.

Key 103 have now announced that they will be hosting a summer time ball in July 2011 – appropriately named Key 103 Live.

The event takes place on Sunday 31st July at Manchester MEN Arena.

Last night I attended the Key 103 Jingle Ball 2010. The event was held at the Manchester M.E.N. Arena.

The acts that performed included: The Saturdays, The Wanted, Alesha Dixon, Diana Vickers, McFly, Nadine Coyle, Olly Murs, Tinchy Stryder, NDubz, Alexandra Burke, The Script, Alexis Jordan and James Blunt. The event was headlined by US superstar Jason Derulo.

First of all, let me tell you what a great show overall! It was great to see that all of the acts made the effort to travel through the snow to perform.

Despite it being a great show, there were a few let downs… Mike and Chelsea from Key 103′s breakfast show ‘hosted’ the evening and in all honesty, it was pretty pointless them being there. They popped up about 4 times throughout the evening to introduce a couple of the acts – which is fine – but it would have made more sense for them to introduce all of the acts. Plus, they seemed slightly under rehearsed. Maybe just stick to the day job? You are both great on the radio!

Some other let downs for me, personally:

N Dubz: Maybe it is just because I’m not a fan of their music. I just don’t feel comfortable watching 3 chavs perform. However, the rest of the audience loved them – so I think I’ll be outvoted on this one!
Tinchy Stryder: It was just a big noise.
Diana Vickers: She actually sounded great and did put on a good show. However, I feel that she could have made a bit more effort in the looks department. She looked like she had been dragged through a hedge and plonked onto the stage. Maybe enjoying the ‘snow’ a bit too much?

Apart from the above, I pretty much LOVED every other act. My personal highlights:

The Saturdays: Sang 100% live and added a touch of glamour to the show. Looked and sounded amazing!
The Wanted: A real crowd pleaser! They easily got the loudest screams of the night. Caused a bit of controversy when band member Max George changed into a Manchester City football shirt. Great stage presence.
Alexandra Burke: The X Factor 2008 champ sang Bad Boys, Start Without You, and her new single The Silence. Her vocal on The Silence was EASILY the BEST vocal of the night. Absolutely electrifying!
Nadine Coyle: Despite only singing two songs, Nadine sounded and looked great. She was very warming to the audience whilst on stage and her performance would definitely teach Cheryl Cole a thing or two!

So yeah, despite a few let downs, the Key 103 Jingle Ball 2010 was brilliant. Of course there is bound to be acts that some favour more than others. Plus, this is the first year that the event has been held in the M.E.N Arena – so kudos to all involved organising the show! I’m already looking forward to next years!

You probably watched The X Factor last night… And you probably saw all of the contestants perform their charity song for this year, ‘Heroes’.

As usual, they all lip synced for their life… Some better than others, with Mary being the epic fail of the lot…

But if you watched carefully, you will have noticed that some ex contestants didn’t actually get any camera time whatsoever.

Watch below… See if you can spot Nicolo Festa, most of FYD, and the other one from Diva Fever… I know I couldn’t find them!

Kudos to the producers though… They tried not to make this performance all about the contestants. They actually did put quite a lot of attention on the real heroes. They must have a heart after all.

Now if only they could put us out of our misery and get rid of Katie Waissel and Wagner!!

Take That dropped into Radio 1′s Live Lounge on Monday 22nd December and treated fans to two live tracks.

They kicked off their mini set with ‘The Flood’ which was absolutely brilliant! The vocals were flawless!!

Now I know I’m probably going to get a bit of stick from the Take That fans for saying this, but I thought the second track they performed, ‘Pray’ just wasn’t great… The whole thing was just a bit of a snooze fest.

The boys made everything OK though as their interview with host Fearne Cotton was very funny. Like always, they came across really well.

One negative comment in between two positive comments isn’t that bad is it?

Congratulations on the number one album by the way!! Smashing a few records along the way is the right way to do it!!
