Well we’ve all known for a while that Mini Viva were probably no more. However, today they released a statement confirming to everyone and putting any other speculation to rest:

Hey everyone!
First off all we would like to apologise for not being able to tell you sooner what was going on with Mini Viva.
It was something we had to decide for ourselves first and of course it was a big decision.
Both of us felt like the time was up for Mini Viva. We had tried so much and so had everyone who was supporting us.

But sometimes things just don’t work out the way you would like them to. We would just like to take this time to thank every single one of you for supporting us on our journey! We could not have asked for more loyal fans than you guys!We both had the most amazing time as Mini Viva, we travelled to amazing places and met some wonderful people.
We will cherish the memories forever.
We would love you to keep supporting us along our different paths. You guys and girls have been so incredibly supportive, everything we did as apart of Mini Viva we are incredibly proud of!
Thank you so much we hope you will stay in touch and support us both like you did with Mini Viva, this is far from a goodbye this is just the beginning! X

Well they are both incredibly talented girls. And as I’ve probably mentioned before, it’s such a shame that Mini Viva didn’t work out.

Britt Love (ex Mini Viva member) has debuted a new track on her Facebook page.

The track is called ‘Playing The Game’ and is pretty up beat. It also shows us a raunchier side to the Newcastle lass.

Not sure how it would fair in the charts if it were to be released, but its great to hear that she’s doing something again.

It has also been revealed that Britt will be performing at Rochdale’s Christmas light switch on. Wonder if she’ll treat the crowd to a solo rendition of ‘Left My Heart In Tokyo’? Better still, Frankee could always go and join in!

Britt is currently touring the UK with her new band Youth Kills.

Well sort of….

In their most recent UStream video whilst talking about support acts for their upcoming tour, Rochelle Wiseman said:

“We like to think that we break people, because last year we had Pixie [Lott] and now she’s like a massive success!

We’re looking to get someone really good, like we had Pixie last year who put on a really good show – so as soon as we know we’ll keep you posted.”

Obviously it has to be noted that they didn’t diss Mini Viva directly, it was more of an indirect diss in that they didn’t mention them.

Girls, sometimes it is great to give your skin some fresh air.

Singers like to do it too! Frankee Connolly of Mini Viva has just posted this picture of herself on Twitter, sans make up.

She looks amazing!! Living proof that you don’t have to cake it on all of the time to look stunning!!

Now that Mini Viva is pretty much over, maybe she could try her hand at modelling?

Gurl, since we are both in Manchester.. Maybe we could become friends? It’s your call lol!

‘Example – Kickstarts’ has won the Popjustice £20 Prize of 2010.

Wikipedia… Of all places – describes the Popjustice £20 Music Prize as:

“an annual prize awarded by a panel of judges organised by music website Popjustice to the singer(s) of the best British pop single of the past year. To qualify, a single must be by a British artist(s) and have been released within the 12 months prior to the award nominations in July.”

Girls Aloud have won 5 out of the 7 times they have been nominated.

Mini Viva were nominated with all three of their tunes; Left My Heart In Tokyo, I Wish & One Touch – despite only one of the songs actually making any kind of impact on the UK Top 40… Come to think of it, quite a few songs that were on the list didn’t make much of an impact… I Wish came in second place.

Hey, I know it’s only a bit of fun… But maybe they could pick some actual ‘hits’ next year round??

Oh and apparently ‘The Wanted – All Time Low’ got the worst song… At least it actually sold some copies HA!

I’m not sure how to take this – probably with a pinch of salt, but according to a ‘source’ at Geffen Records, Mini Viva are about to get dropped!

This is very sad news due to the fact that they have released 3 brilliant songs in which 2 have majorly flopped in the UK charts… ‘I Wish’ reached number 73, whilst ‘One Touch’ reached number 114… Both a huge drop from number 7, which their first single ‘Left My Heart In Tokyo’ peaked.

From following them closely via Twitter, I wouldn’t blame the girls… I would blame their sorry excuse for a management team. Whoever managed their schedules should NOT be in a job right now. There have been so many missed opportunities for the girls, and their management screwed it up big time.

Since ‘One Touch’ was released, it’s unclear as to whether Frankee and Britt have actually met up, or whether they’ve even spoken to their label.

The source mentions that it is “very unlikely” that an album will be released. Although, “it may be released via download only for the hard core fans that the girls do have.”

Well, let’s hope that we at least get an album from the girls – and soon!. They have worked very hard, and it’s just a real shame that they were marketed in the completely wrong way.
