On Saturday 27th June 2009 I went to see The Saturdays at Sheffield City Hall… Needless to say – I was VERY impressed!
Originally I had bought tickets which were in a very good location, but a couple of days before we went I actually entered a competition that Windows Live were holding for some free tickets etc. I entered for the fun of it in the hopes that I got my tickets upgraded.
On Saturday morning I got an email telling me I won, so we drove down to Sheffield and met a really lovely guy who told us what the deal was. We were given two cameras… Although they weren’t actually cameras… They were rubbish Windows mobile phones with bad cameras on them. We were expected to take pictures on these – which we happily obliged as we were given better tickets.
However, once the show started and we started to use these cameras we realized that because we were 4 rows back, the pictures were coming out shockingly bad… If Windows wanted us to take better pictures then why didn’t they give us better seats?
Instead I just used my own camera and got some AMAZING pictures and videos.
If you haven’t seen the Saturdays live yet, you need to. They work so well together on stage and there is a lot of audience participation going on which is great at a live show.
They sang all of their singles, plus some tracks off their current album… They also treated the audience to 2 new tracks which are definitely something to look forward to in the future!
Have a look at my video below of them performing their hit single ‘UP’… Apologies for you being able to hear me singing in the background… I was having a wicked night!
